Very good Mexican food. Staff was extremely kind! Excellent margarita! Nice selection for children. Restaurant was clean.
Solid good choice for Mexican food. Always tastes good and fresh with strong mix of flavors. (As opposed to some places where all the items taste more or less the same).
Worth every bite! - We spent 5 days in Luray over Thanksgiving and drove over the pass to try Jalisco Mexican Restaurant on our first night. The location is excellent - right on the high street with easy parking. The food? The food was so delicious and the service so great, that we returned for some post-hike tacos on our last day as well! We travel to and from Mexico yearly and it's getting easier now to tell homemade from canned. Jalisco's chorizo was so surprising and melt in your mouth, tasty, that I had to comment on it. And yes! They make their own chorizo! Their refried beans didn't just get dumped out of a can either. And the carne asada? The meat was marinated delicately and perfectly. These are all signs of a restaurant run with love and integrity. Thank you for the excellent food and service twice on our trip!
Popped in here the other day as it was the only restaurant open past 9:00pm. I wasn't expecting much but the staff was friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. My wife and I each had a "regular" margarita, which was still a massive serving--the regular is not to be confused w/ the jumbo or fishbowl options. The margarita itself didn't taste of a margarita as it seems they used pineapple juice. Chips and salsa were brought out quickly and both were tasty. My wife and I split the enchiladas supreme--four enchiladas of chicken, cheese, beans, and ground beef. Overall they were fine, tasty, but the ground beef was a bit on the dry side. We ordered rice on the side, which was quite good and seasoned well. Everything came out very quickly. The prices were super reasonable and I'd pop in again to try some other offerings. The space is what you'd expect with several tables and booths and decorated like an old Mexican town, obviously.
The owner is a truly wonderful and beautiful person! The food was delicious and the drinks were cold. What a time to be alive!
